Mavzuna, from Dushanbe, always wanted to become a programmer. Learning about the ProSkills Program, Mavzuna was attracted by the learning and employment opportunities that the program would equip her with.
Despite the cultural challenges that would limit her from participating in the program, Mavzuna was determined and passionate about gaining knowledge and pursuing her dream in the IT field. She was the only girl in her batch, and she did not have a computer. This did not prevent her from becoming one of the top students in her program. She mentions that the studies were challenging at the beginning, but with her determination and dedication, she breezed past the external and internal challenges, to shine and succeed!
“The program has helped me gain self-awareness; I have gained more confidence in myself and in a better future. This is just the beginning, and everything lies ahead. Don’t be afraid, since fear is a barrier to your dream. I have graduated from this program, yet I have three kids. To those who saythat I have no time or I cannot do it, if you are passionate about it, you will make it.”
